What is the Legal Clinic?
The Legal Clinic is a free, confidential, and community-driven service offered by Collectif Arc-en-Ciel to support individuals who may be facing legal challenges, discrimination, violence, abuse, exclusion, or human rights violations. The service has been created to help members of the LGBTQIA+ community and other vulnerable individuals better understand their rights, explore available legal options, and access professional legal guidance in a safe, respectful, and affirming environment.
Why is the Legal Clinic important?
Access to justice remains a major challenge for many individuals, particularly those from marginalised communities who may face stigma, discrimination, fear of retaliation, or limited knowledge of their rights. The Legal Clinic exists to help bridge that gap by providing safe, accessible, and professional legal support, empowering individuals to make informed decisions, seek protection, and assert their rights with dignity and confidence.
What does the Legal Clinic offer at CAEC?
Through our Legal Clinic, individuals may access free and confidential one-to-one legal advice, receive information about their rights, applicable laws, and available legal options, as well as guidance on matters relating to discrimination, violence, family disputes, employment, housing, identity documentation, harassment, and other legal concerns. The service also supports individuals in understanding complaint procedures, official reporting mechanisms, and available referral pathways, while ensuring continued support through Collectif Arc-en-Ciel’s case management process.

Access to the Legal Clinic is strictly by appointment through CAEC’s case management service.
