Case Management
What is Case Management at CAEC?
Case management at Collectif Arc-en-Ciel (CAEC) is a personalized support service for LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating difficult, complex, or vulnerable situations. With a holistic, rights-based approach, our aim is to ensure that no one faces these challenges alone.
What cases do we handle at CAEC?
We provide hands-on assistance in situations such as:
- Discrimination, harassment, or violence—at home, at work, in education, or in public spaces
- Mental health crises or emotional distress
- Legal and administrative barriers, including documentation needs
- Access to healthcare, housing, or other essential services
- Emergency support, protection, or referrals to trusted institutions and partner NGOs
Why is it important?
Many LGBTQIA+ people in Mauritius face barriers to safety, dignity, and equality. Case management offers not just immediate help but long-term support, ensuring individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to reclaim their rights.
What kind of assistance do we provide?
Each case is managed with confidentiality, compassion, and care. Our trained team will:

Whether you come to us directly or through a referral from a partner organisation or healthcare provider, CAEC is here to stand by you every step of the way.
